Hello everyone and happy new week!

I hope everyone has had a great week end! As far as I am concerned, I have been trying to keep it pretty calm since I had a crazy week at work, and I know the next one won't be any different. But, on the other hand, I love the new responsibilities I have, it makes my job that much more interesting since it's more diversified! Who thought a translator's life could be so exciting?!

Now, onto scrapping!! This week, there was no sketch on the BG blog... They decided to give us a LO and asked us to scraplift it... Well, no need to say one more word! I mean, the designers over at Basic Grey are nothing short of AMAZING, so if you give me the chance to scraplift one of their LOs, I'll gladly oblige you! It's like leaving me in my favorite shop and tell me to take anything for free... But, I am dreaming right now... too bad though!

So, here is the sketch to scraplift:

And here is my take.. If I may say so..

What? REALLY scraplifted? ME???? Noooooooooooooooo

So, here are a few close-ups

I didn't have that beautiful flower, so
I made my own with some fabric I got
at Walmart.  See how I sprayed the tags
with some Glimmer Mist? I used some
spellbinders as masks/stencils.

I used the same Glimmer mist on all the papers,
so they would "feel the same", even if they already
come from the same collection. I used "Iced spruce"
distress ink around all of them too.

See how I dared using gems?! I'm happy
because I downloaded the "Typewriter font"
on Dafont.com! I love it :) I haven't written
my journaling on the computer in forever
but I love the clean look it gives to the page!
***Sorry I couldn't get the picture on the right side***

WHAT I LIKE ABOUT THIS LO

* How I thought about misting the whole thing to give it a cohesive look
*The computer-generated journaling
* So many more things... The tags for example... But that's not from me so...
* I used my Big Shot! I like every time I use it because at least, I feel like I haven't wasted my money :)

STASH USED
* The fabric I got at Walmart
* The Thickers... I don't have all the letters left, which is why I used a "u" as "n" here!
* The button
* The brad

SUPPLIES

* Just in case you are wondering, the papers are from the "Out of print" collection from BG!
* The hearts are dies from Sizzix
* The mist is some Glimmer Mist

That would be it for today, need to get some rest before my crazy week!!

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!
