And here is my take on it (I don't know if I like it too much but I thought I would share anyway)

Hello ladies,

Today, a LO evolving around a different theme (at least for me): a table! ***A TABLE***, I hear you say... Well, not any table... My birthday table! Two colours: green (lime let's say) and pink... (I have to mention that my best friend folded the napkins).

For this project, I used a LO by "Got Sketch?". Sorry but I'm unable to put the sketch here, so you'll have to follow the link to their page :) I couldn't pass up this one because they had rosettes... And we know I LOOOVE them!!

So, here is the page:


LOVE the colours... And I'm really happy because the "Life of the party" collection had colours that matched up the table pretty well!!

WHAT I LIKE ABOUT THIS LO

* I've been thrifty lately (I don't know why, but I love the word "thrifty" in English... there are some words I also love in French... and that's one of the ones I like in English) and I've cut out the center of the papers... Like here for example, I cut out the center of the pink paper since it was not going to show up! I often do this when using a particular collection for a event...
* The rosettes... the banner... the lively colours...

As you may know/have noticed, I'm really into using "Creative Scrappers" sketches for my LOs (I even decided to create a LO for each sketch they put in their PDF files!). Well, instead of ONLY "living in the past", I decided to participate in one of their challenges with sketch #179 (to view the sketch, please click on the link).

So, here is my take (pretty clean and simple...)

And just a slight modification to the journaling since I noticed a MISTAKE!!!! I HATE HATE HATE mistakes... As we say in French, "déformation professionnelle"

I don't know if I like it better like that or not, but I could not stand everyone pointing this mistake out when having a look at the album!!

So here is a LO I created to match the one I did for Shimelle's challenge!

The more I get to work with Fancy Pants papers, the more I love it... To make this LO, I used Shimelle's "4x6 photo love" class for August... (I love Shimelle's sketches!).

ETA: I can enter this LO for the "Scrapbookers Anonymous"'s challenge: "Letter C": The title starts with a "C" and all of the pictures are actually "Close-ups", I used a Clear stamp for the little thingie on top of the title, and we have some Cream colour in the LO...

Let's stop it here, let us not push it too far!!

The title. Used the negative shape of the Tim Holtz rosette die to make the top border

A little cluster. Once again, I used the negative space AND the same doily as I used in the "Casa Battlo" LO

* The "Unforgettable memories" Momenta stickers. I've had them for a while and I'm happy the colours matched this LO

WHAT I LIKE ABOUT THIS LO

* I like the general result... It seems you can't go wrong with Fancy Pants!!!
* I like how I coordinated elements with the previous LO, even if they are not meant to be  next to each other (since one is a two-page LO)
* I'm happy I used elements from different brands (Momenta, the brad from DCVW, the doily, the stamp)

WHAT I LIKE ABOUT THIS LO

When I first started, I really didn't think it would end up well, but I tried to adapt and I think the result is pretty good... So, I'm generally happy :) Plus, I think my nephew is a cutie in this LO! (Have you noticed I quite like my niece and my nephews??)

First of all, let me thank you for the kind comments you leave. I really appreciate them and I'm very grateful!

Today's LO is one I created using S. Tidwell's concept (she used fringe scissors to create a LO for the latest issue of "Products you love every which way"). When I saw her design, I immediatly knew I wanted to create something similar. I don't have fringe scissors though, so I had to find something else. At first, I thought about using my regular Fiskars border punch ("Threading water") but I realized the holes wouldn't be big enough. Then, I went to a LSS to get some adhesive and I found the EK Success "Circles large edger punch". I was thrilled because I thought it would be PER-FECT for this project.

So, there you go


I'm in love with it. For the first time, I thought about framing it...

I have to say that I love as much the pic. as the LO! I think my niece is adorable in it: her cute sunglasses, some bread in one hand, some sausage in the other, a real little Frenchie! My fiancé thought her princess (yes, he calls her that... she can do whatever, she always gets away with it) looked like a real badass on this pic because of her scratched knee... My poor baby had slipped on the concrete next to the see (the sand made it slippery). Anyway, enough with the talking (I think it's the first time I talk that much about us ahah... but I miss her way too much, her being in France and us in Canada).

I've had this "Dots and Stripes collection" by Echo Park for a while now (since my first trip to this amazing scrapbook stores, about 4 to 6 months ago I think) and I had only used one sheet of paper. But when I decided to create this page, I KNEW I wanted to use this particular paper (all the stickers come from this collection as well!)

So, here I am, blogging before going to bed...

Today, I thought I would share a project a tiny bit "different"... It's still a LO, but different because I took two different sketches and made a 2-page LO out of them... So, here they are:

Love the size of those pics! I didn't even have  to resize them!

I covered the chipboard with Colorbox pigment ink and heat embossed it with clear embossing powder!

Who doesn't like a lil cluster?

VARIATIONS FROM THE SKETCHES

* I had to change the place of the "big boxes" of paper in order to make them match...
* I adeed a brown line around the whole design to "tie it" together
* I had to continue the borders of one page on the following page (the orange one for ex. or the green one at the top)
* I added clusters of embellies at the left top corner and right bottom corner (too empty otherwise)
* On the right, I had to put the two pics together because of the orange border... It looked weird to have it go under them and have them separate
* I put those big yellow thingies instead of stars on the right in order to match them with the three on the left
* There may be other changed but I guess we have the main ones here!

* The chipboard letters I have left from my International clocks project
* The "Vive les mariés stickers"! It's old and I don't even remember where it comes from!

Today, I decided to share the LO I made for Shimelle's Sept. "4x6 photo love"...

A slight change in this post since I just realized I could also use this scrapbook page for the "Scrapbookers Anonymous" challenge concerning die cuts (massive use of the Big Shot here!!).

I used a series of pictures I took in July during my holidays in Spain. My family and I went to Barcelona and, of course, we couldn't pass up the amazing Gaudi! So out we went and we visited the "Casa Battlo".

Since it's Sept., I chose 9 of the pics and got going!

Before showing you the LO, I want to tell you that I did a massive haul on Sat. and it felt good!

Among (many) other things, I got the Tim Holtz "Rosette" die for the Big Shot and the "Summer's end" collection by Fancy Pants. I couldn't wait to use both... And I have to tell you, it's the first time I use any Fancy pants products and I am *IN LOVE*!!

So, here is the LO

Today, I decided to share with you a little bit of home decor, instead of a page again!

Don't be too excited but you are going to see a wall of my kitchen!!! (Ahah) Since I live in Canada, I come from France and my fiancé (looove saying this word) is from Tunisia, we decided it was only fair to have several clocks: one for each country. And to make sure we know which one is which, I spelled the names out of chipboard letters.

So here is the wall:

I realized now that I haven't erased all the pencil lines, I need to do that now!

So, here is how I made the letters:

1) Used chipboard letters I bought at my LSS
2) Covered them with black ink (I used common ink since I didn't have Stazon at the time)
3) Covered my stamp with Top Boss Watermark (the stamp is from Magenta but I can't find it)
4) Applied the stamp on the wet black ink (kissing technique)
5) Let the letters sit to dry but they wouldn't dry after two to three day so I applied clear embossing powder and I heat set them
6) Applied Glue Dots at the back and voilà !

Let me share a LO I created for the "Products you love every which way" challenge on 2Peas!

Today, my friend Sabine told me that my scrapbooking was getting way out of hands... I guess she meant I was scrapbooking too much (IS THIS EVEN POSSIBLE). Funny thing is, if she started, she would be exactly the same... Because she is such a passionate and creative person. Back in the days, when we lived in NZ, I had a modern appartment and she lived in one of those student rooms. Well, let me tell you I would have swapped anytime!! Her room was GORGEOUS, so well decorated... I was in love with it (but her flatmate was a bit crazy so....). And I know she would love love love all the pretty paper, the little embellishments, the colours... EVERYTHING (Maybe that's why she doesn't start :p)

Anyway, back to my LO.

Once again, I used a sketch from Creative Scrappers.
